THEY say there is a book in us all, and for some the reality of seeing their book in print could be a step nearer thanks to the return of the Annual Publishing Panel to the University of Chichester.
Taking place in Cloisters Chamber on the University’s Bishop Otter Campus on Wednesday 24 April, the annual publishing panel will see five eminent literary agents and publishers lift the veil on the often-mysterious world of publishing.
This year’s line-up features Laura Williams, literary agent with Greene & Heaton; Katie Greenstreet, literary agent with Conville & Walsh; Jon Wood, literary agent with Rogers, Coleridge & White; Alex Christofi, Commissioning Editor, Oneworld Publications; Anna Kelly, Commissioning Editor with 4th estate, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.
The publishing panel is organised by Karen Stevens, English and Creative Writing Senior Lecturer at the University of Chichester. She said: “This is the fourteenth year we have run the Publishing Panel and it has become an established event in the local literary calendar. It is a great opportunity to pick the brains of experts from the world of publishing and, who knows, it may also lead to getting your work published! We hope people will join us for a truly lively and informative evening.”
Attendance at the publishing panel is open to everyone and is free of charge. It will take place in Cloisters Chamber, University of Chichester’s Bishop Otter Campus, on Wednesday 24 April from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
It is a popular event so guests are asked to arrive in good time for a seat. Find out more by contacting Karen Stevens at email@example.com. For more about the MA in Creative Writing at the University of Chichester visit www.chi.ac.uk/ma-creative-writing.
